Stephanie Whitney

 Owner/Director

Miss Stephanie fell in love with dance at just four years old when she stepped into her very first ballet class. From that moment forward, dance became an integral part of her life and ultimately grew into a lifelong passion for performing, teaching, and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

As a pre-teen and teenager, Stephanie trained and competed as a member of a dance team while also beginning her journey as an assistant dance instructor. Her love for both the artistry and discipline of dance led her to pursue a degree in Dance at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she performed as a member of the PBAU Dance Ensemble.

During her collegiate training, Stephanie had the opportunity to study under distinguished artists and educators, including modern dance artist Demetrius Klein and former American Ballet Theatre soloist Eileen Hebron. In addition to her performance training, she pursued the study of dance pedagogy, developing a deeper understanding of how dancers learn, grow, and develop both technically and artistically. Stephanie graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance.

Since graduating, Stephanie has continued to teach, choreograph, perform, and share her passion for dance throughout Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Her professional and community-based performance work has included collaborations with Saving Grace Dance Ensemble, Kids Cooperative Theater, Actors Cooperative Theater, and numerous other artistic and community projects.

Beyond the studio and stage, Stephanie is deeply committed to community leadership and service. She currently serves as President of the Hooksett Chamber of Commerce and remains actively involved in local events, charitable initiatives, and collaborations that strengthen and enrich the greater community.

As the Owner and Director of Unbound Dance Academy, Stephanie is dedicated to creating an environment where dancers can receive exceptional technical training while developing artistry, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for dance. She believes that dance education extends far beyond the steps learned in the studio—it has the power to build discipline, resilience, meaningful relationships, and a strong sense of community.

Through Unbound Dance Academy, Miss Stephanie is proud to continue fostering the arts in New Hampshire and creating opportunities for dancers of all ages to learn, grow, perform, and discover their own passion for dance.

Kara Warnock

Director

Acrobatics, Tap & Jazz

Miss Kara began her dance journey in 1993 and trained for 10 years, studying jazz, hip hop, and primarily tap. Her love of movement naturally expanded into gymnastics before she discovered competitive cheerleading, where she developed a strong passion for tumbling.

In 2006, Kara began sharing that passion as a tumbling instructor and cheerleading choreographer at an all-star cheerleading facility in the Nashua area. She later earned dual degrees in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from Granite State College, combining her educational expertise with her love of teaching.

From 2010 to 2020, Kara worked in the childcare field, where she gained valuable experience supporting the growth and development of young children. Her background in early childhood education, special education, and childcare allows her to create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment where every child feels supported and empowered to succeed.

Over the past 11 years at Unbound Dance Academy, Miss Kara has grown the acrobatics and tap programs into thriving, ever-expanding offerings. What began as small programs has evolved into multiple levels of acrobatics and tap classes, along with competitive opportunities in both styles. Under her leadership, Unbound's acrobatics competition teams have earned multiple first-place overalls, reflecting her commitment to excellence in training and performance.

Miss Kara's teaching philosophy centers on safety first. She believes that building a strong technical foundation through proper body placement, progressions, and conditioning is the key to long-term success in acrobatics. Every skill is taught with an emphasis on correct technique, body awareness, and safe execution, allowing students to build confidence while developing strength and flexibility.

Known for her energetic, encouraging teaching style, Miss Kara is passionate about helping every child build confidence, develop new skills, and discover a love for dance and movement. She strives to create a positive, supportive environment where dancers of all ages can reach their full potential and looks forward to continuing to inspire and support the dancers and families of the Unbound community!
